I have run my own businesses for over 20 years and have had a few accountants.

I had the pleasure of being introduced to Steve Barrett from SBA Tax and Accountancy in 2009. I was struggling with my existing accountants making everything overly complicated and bureaucratic and being very patronising.

Steve Barrett was a refreshing change. He is very approachable, speaks to me as a human being, explains things simply and never gets tired of my ‘stupid questions’. He is a pleasure to work with and I trust him implicitly.

He goes over and above to help. He made it very easy to transfer over our accounts from the previous accountants to SBA, in fact I don’t think I did anything, he did it all.

Another thing I would say about Steve Barrett, is that it is clear that he cares about my business as much as I do, always interested in what is going on, that makes a refreshing change as well.

SBA deal with my business accounts, my personal tax and my husband’s personal tax. My business will stay with him for life. I cannot recommend SBA highly enough, if you want a ‘normal person’ as an accountant who also has a sense of humour, then Steve Barrett is the person.

Stephen Barrett opened our eyes to new age accounting!

By doing so he is saving our company lots of time and money in the process.
